Website Changes Not Showing

Made changes but don't see them on your website? Here's how to troubleshoot.

Quick Fixes

1. Did You Publish?

Changes save as drafts until published.

  • Look for "Publish" or "Save & Publish" button
  • Click it to push changes live
  • Some edits auto-save; others need explicit publish

2. Hard Refresh Your Browser

Your browser might be showing a cached (old) version.

How to hard refresh:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + R
  • Mac: Cmd + Shift + R
  • Or Ctrl/Cmd + F5

3. Clear Browser Cache

If hard refresh doesn't work:

  1. Open browser settings
  2. Find "Clear browsing data"
  3. Clear cached images and files
  4. Refresh your website

4. Try Incognito/Private Mode

Open your website in a private window:

  • No cached data
  • Shows the current live version

5. Wait a Few Minutes

Some changes need time to propagate:

  • CDN updates: 2-5 minutes typically
  • DNS changes: Up to 48 hours

Specific Situations

Menu changes publish separately from website changes.

  • Go to your menu
  • Check if it's published
  • Publish the menu itself

Images Not Updating

Uploaded a new image but see the old one?

  • Hard refresh (above)
  • Clear cache
  • Try a different filename

Custom Domain Issues

Changes show on .welcomehq.app but not your custom domain?

  • Wait for DNS propagation
  • Clear cache
  • Check domain settings in Welcome

Mobile vs Desktop Different

Phone shows old version?

  • Clear mobile browser cache
  • Force close and reopen browser
  • Try a different mobile browser
