Assigning Menus to Locations

If you have multiple locations, you can share menus across all of them or customize menus per location.

How Menu Assignment Works

Each menu can be assigned to:

  • All locations: Same menu everywhere
  • Specific locations: Different menus for different spots

This lets you handle common scenarios:

  • Downtown location has a bar menu; suburban location doesn't
  • All locations share the main menu but have location-specific specials
  • Different pricing by area

Assigning a Menu to Locations

  1. Go to Menus and select your menu
  2. Click Settings or the gear icon
  3. Find Locations
  4. Select which locations should display this menu
  5. Save

Shared Menus

When a menu is shared across locations:

  • Changes apply everywhere instantly
  • All locations show the same items and prices
  • Great for brand consistency

To share a menu:

  1. Open menu settings
  2. Select All Locations or check multiple locations
  3. Save

Location-Specific Menus

For menus unique to one location:

  1. Create a new menu (or duplicate an existing one)
  2. Assign it to only that location
  3. Customize items, prices, or availability

Example: Location-Specific Pricing

Downtown vs. suburb pricing:

  1. Create "Main Menu - Downtown"
  2. Create "Main Menu - Westside"
  3. Assign each to its location
  4. Adjust prices independently

Your website shows menus based on the selected location:

  • If you have one location, all assigned menus appear
  • If you have multiple locations, visitors choose a location first, then see that location's menus

Best Practices

  • Start shared: Begin with shared menus, split only when needed
  • Name clearly: If location-specific, include location in menu name
  • Keep core items consistent: Customers expect signature dishes everywhere
  • Use location menus for: Local specials, different hours, regional pricing

Common Questions

The menu won't appear on your website until assigned to at least one location.

Can one item be priced differently at different locations?

You'll need separate menus with separate items, each assigned to its location.

How do I remove a menu from a location?

Edit the menu settings and uncheck that location.
