Item Details Explained

Required Fields

  • Name: Keep it clear and appetizing. "Grilled Salmon" beats "Fish #3"
  • Price: Enter the base price. You can add variations later.

Optional Fields

  • Description: 1-2 sentences about ingredients, preparation, or what makes it special
  • Photo: A great image can boost orders significantly
  • Dietary tags: Mark items as Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free, etc.
  • Calories: Nutritional information if you track it

Writing Great Descriptions

Instead of:

"Burger with cheese and bacon"

Try:

"Half-pound Angus patty topped with aged cheddar, applewood-smoked bacon, and our secret sauce on a brioche bun"

Tips:

  • Lead with the main ingredient
  • Mention cooking style (grilled, braised, crispy)
  • Highlight premium or local ingredients
  • Keep it under 50 words

Adding Photos

  1. Click Upload Photo on the item
  2. Choose an image file (JPG or PNG)
  3. Crop or adjust if needed
  4. Save

Tip: Use natural lighting, shoot from a 45-degree angle, and keep backgrounds simple. Smartphone photos can look great!
